VISION

Our vision is to create a secure, nurturing environment in which people with Down Syndrome and related intellectual disabilities can flourish, and happily live more full lives as the best version of themselves. This environment should have the space and freedom to live, learn, work and play within a safe, sustainable community.

The right environment is essential to a person’s happiness, well-being and development to their full potential.

An acorn or seed can be nurtured into a mighty, resilient oak tree if it is planted in a suitable environment. If it is dealt with a little differently by the  gardener, it will still grow into a fully formed oak tree - in a pot – a Bonsai – a diminished version in size, scale and potential of what it might have been. Not due to bad intent by the gardener, but due to the restrictive environment in which it was positioned.
